Home

It was the begining of this year - 2014 - historical year for me. I had found the one I had been looking for, for so long: a small old caravan to restore and turn into my cottage. With such little budget this was the highest I could dream of, at least for the near future.

I was not alone in this dream. I had a girlfriend who sponsered it and a boyfriend who joined me in the fieldwork. This boy is the one I call today my farmer baker boy, the one who won my heart and I am so happy with, sharing this dream and way of life.

This place I call home now is the one where I grew up many years ago. After my father died it was voted to abandon for more than 10 years, so it turned into a true jungle. And it was my farmer baker boy who cleaned the ground and the old trees and is turning my jungle into a garden. This was an olive grove in its glorious times, where we used to work sometimes under hard conditions in the winter. Good times.

This is my land now and instead of letting it to the abandon for more years, I decided to give it a new glory, since I love the countryside. In fact, those years where I lived here were a great part of my formation as a human being. Here I learned to appreciate, respect and love nature, learned about agriculture and worked in our kitchen garden, learned to be thankful for our four seasons, even winter! The smells, the lights, the sounds, the taste of fresh vegetables, the texture of the soil, everything was so appealing to me! And now, having been living in the town for 20 years, and although Tomar is a beautiful and quiet town, I got tired of the stressing life and inadequacy to this consumption society whith wrong values from my point of view. But do you want to see my beauty? I introduce you to my Flower, the way she came home.

Not appealing huh? But so charming to me and to my farmer baker boy. This was the begining of our adventure, where everything started and a new life began.
Nice to share this story of mine with you!
